Directions to Porchester House

Porchester House is extremely easy to find. The photographs available from this page illustrate this - please note that the house is extremely quiet and the area is not as built up or industrial as the pictures may imply.

Approaching from the North East

Taking the A39 as you near St Kew Highway the road heads uphill with the south bound lane increasing to two. After cresting the hill the road is fairly straight until at St Kew Highway it takes a sweeping curve to the left. As you approach, noting the low stone wall on the right, look for the signpost on the left for St Kew Highway. This is directly opposite the junction. Prepare to turn right here. After the turning you take the next left. Continue along here until you reach the No-Entry signs. Turn right into the drive which leads to Porchester House just before the No-Entry sign on the righthand side. Where the drive turns abrubtly to the left you continue straight on into the entrance, opening the gates first.

Approaching from the South West

Taking the A39 from the Wadebridge direction, as you approach St Kew Highway the road curves to the right. You pass a partly dismantled old stone railway bridge. At this point you should be indicating left and braking ready to turn left. As you look ahead take the turn off which stretches straight on. Turn left again within 50 metres opposite the services sign into the drive which leads to Porcester House. Where the drive turns abrubtly to the left you continue straight on into the entrance, opening the gates first.
